MOJAVE DESERT VETERANS MEMORIAL CROSS

MOJAVE DESERT VETERANS MEMORIAL CROSS

This cross has been on the hill since 1934 honoring all fallen veterans that never came home.

What is it with the idiots in this country?  How long do we put up with this kind of bull-dozing.  What I believe in is my business and ACLU has no say in the matter!  The ole’ man

I can’t believe that this is happening because of one idiot. Yes ONE IDIOT backed by the UCLA.

Please pass this on to all you know.. If you agree

What is going on here???

There have been 645,600+ hits on this video.  It needs to be seen by many, many more people.  Please spread it around to your entire address book.  To think one individual, just one, can take a case like this to the California Supreme Court and get a hearing.

What is going on in this country. We, the people are losing are rights a little at a time and we are letting these so called congressman stick it to us. They don’t give a damn, they only care about their own welfare and power. It’s time we all wake up before it’s too late. We’ll look out our window some day and see a different flag waving over our soil.

We should do everything we can to prevent this memorial from being torn down.

This is ACLU insanity. Every American should see this video.

"Killer" Bees Sting 84-Year-Old Man 1,000 Times in Green Valley

1957: Scientists in Brazil accidentally loose 26 African Honey Bee queens into the wild.

2009: Arizonans suffer attacks by swarms of "killer" bees.

True, the aggressive hybrids aren’t quite as bad as depicted in the poster for the 1978 movie, The Swarm. But try telling that to John Pool of Green Valley.

The 84-year-old, legally blind man was stung about 1,000 times in an attack on Thursday. Pool’s dog died from about 200 stings, says KTAR [92.3 FM]. Pool told the radio station he was walking his dog near his home when some bees began buzzing around him. Suddenly, hundreds zeroed in on the pair. He’s expected to make a full recovery.

As we learned while checking on an April attack in New River, it takes about 10 stings per pound of body weight to kill you.

If you’re unfamiliar with Arizona geography, New River’s north of the Valley and Green Valley is in southern Arizona.

They’ve got us surrounded.

Welcome to Wuf’s Den!

Howdy!

We’re going to try this blog format to introduce WufStuff buyers with each other and trade ideas and techniques in stone working.

We’re not bloggers, we’re miners so there’s gonna be typos, miistakes in spellin’ and punctuation,,, and Lord only knows what else we’ll screw up getting this thing started!… I am getting so loaded up forwarding communications to other craftsfolk with techniques, tricks, outlets for materials, new finds, etc. that we’ll try this forum for you to communicate direct with others via the blog.

Needless to say we expect users or forum to be polite and informative. This is to be a fun exchange of ideas and techniques in lapidary subjects. We don’t mind members offering materials to others, this is a ‘not for profit commercial site’, but if you do score a good deal let others know.

This is an open forum and you’re all welcomed to post trades and offerings of material between each other, just please don’t turn this into an advertising site with lists of material you have for sale, there are other sites for that. If someone asks where to get material and you have it or know where to get it feel free to respond.

Or if you make a discovery and just want to brag about it have at it! Just don’t get too precise about the location online though, there’s still a lot of higraders and claim jumpers out there that can read these posts and you may go back to your diggin’s and find a bunch of chips on the ground where someone sledged out your find.

Site is mainly designed for users to exchange thoughts, tips and techniques in working this AZ stone. (or other stone) and for posting photos of what you’ve created with this Arizona dug stone. Have fun and try to keep on topic.

Start a new topic if you like. I will alone have right to edit or delete any post deemed unacceptable. No cussin’ as this is a family site too.

If you have something to say please post it! (Just don’t bash me too much…. a poke with a blunt stick once in a while is OK just to keep me in line….. lol… ) comment on others work, new materials you’ve discovered, it’s pretty much open.

We’ll play it by ear to start with and any constructive critisim to make this blog better is appreciated, just drop us an email.

Have at it and have fun!
